Exact Flow provides solutions to aircraft manufacturers, engine developers and test laboratories by offering unique, integrated flowmeter system packages. Our custom products are developed around the highly accurate dual rotor turbine flowmeter, which eliminates the need for flow straighteners and provides additional information such as bearing diagnostics, bi-directional flow readings, and pressure and temperature sensor data.

In addition, our exceptionally accurate, integrated ExactComp EC80 Flow Computer provides multiple outputs delivering ±0.25% of reading system accuracy, and ±0.02% repeatability over an extended universal viscosity curve (UVC) flow ranges up to 60:1.

General Atomics Avenger (Predator C)

General Atomics Avenger Predator CExact Flow was the flowmeter supplier of choice for the General Atomics Avenger (formerly Predator C), an unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV) built by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems for the United States military. Unlike the previous MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper (Predator B) drones, the Avenger is powered by a turbofan jet engine, and its design includes stealth features such as internal weapons storage and an "S" shaped exhaust for reduced heat and radar signature. The Avenger can cruise at 50,000 feet and perform multiple tasks from reconnaissance to attack roles.

For the Avenger project, Exact Flow provided a Model EF3601 Dual Rotor Turbine Flowmeter and an integral IFC15 flow computer with special outputs to handle engine fuel measurements. The Model EF3601 employs embedded pickoffs in order to withstand engine vibration. It's compact, lightweight aluminum housing was designed to utilize the existing bolthole pattern in the Avenger's engine flowmeter mounting bracket. This small packaging also allowed the meter to be used with no modifications to the engine fuel piping – and without the need for flow straighteners.
